The Negroni: A Celebration of the Iconic Drink in your iconic Sneaker
A Negroni is an Italian cocktail, made of one part gin, one part vermouth rosso (red, semi-sweet), and one part Campari, garnished with orange peel. It is considered an aperitivo.
A traditionally made Negroni is stirred, not shaken, and built over ice in an old-fashioned or rocks glass and garnished with a slice of orange.
Outside of Italy, an orange peel is often used in place of an orange slice.
While the drink's origins are unknown, the most widely reported account is that it was first mixed in Florence, Italy, in 1919, at Caffè Casoni (then called Caffè Giacosa), on Via de' Tornabuoni.
In honor of this wonderful drink, we have teamed up with The Rake to immortalize it worthily.
This sneaker represents this drink to the fullest.
The finest nubuck in a light gray tone, the whole should represent the part of the gin. The laces part is made of a grain leather that is supposed to bring in the structure a little.
On the back part and inside the shoe a dark red like a great sweet vermouth in combination with a delicious campari. The little orange details are supposed to represent the orange slice.
The whole thing is underlined by the Italian dolce vita with the great seersucker material.
On the flap is an embroidered logo in the form of a tumbler glasses with the mixing ratio of the Negroni.
The whole thing is underlined by the 3 laces in the colors of the negroni.
This shoe is full of details and evolves over time like a good drink. A Negroni glass is embroidered on the heel and the saying CHEERS MF is embossed on the inside of the shoe.
On the insole, the KangaROOS give each other a cheer. A Lacetag underlines the whole topic.
The whole concept extends to the box and the inside. A copy of the original letter from Camillo Negroni is enclosed with the shoe as well as a tumbler, a spoon and a flask when it is five o'clock again and it is Negroni time.
